"We shape our communities, either by our
involvement or lack of it. I can't encourage you enough to get
out and
make a difference.
If you don't like the way things are, change them. If you don't who will?
You'll be surprised by the amount of joy it will

AB2165 - Known as the Foster Parent Bill. This bill has just passed through the California House and Senate and is headed for Governor Grey Davis' desk to be signed. This bill is insidious and we have only one chance left to stop it. It preys on some of our most helpless individuals, foster children. They are already confused about life and families, this will only make their struggles more difficult. Time and time again it has been proven that children fair far better in a two-parent home with a father and a mother.
Here's why
AB2651 is not good:
1) Gay and transsexual
foster parents will be actively recruited.
They represent less than 3% of the population nation-wide. This is a law that
goes against the vast majority
2) Although they have backed off from requiring foster parents to be
trained that the gay and
transsexual lifestyles is acceptable,
it is "strongly suggested". This is one step away from being mandatory. Please
note the 70% of foster parents are religious and probably won't submit to this.
3) If you try to teach or even talk to a foster child about homosexuality or
Transexuality being wrong, they can call an ombudsman and register a complaint.
This could potentially lead to a law suit. This is
restricting your freedom of speech
in your own home.
What you can do: Call Governor Grey Davis and let him know this is an assault on our foster children. It's an election year, he may listen.

The homosexual agenda is actively trying to recruit our children to believe their immoral lifestyle is acceptable. This is wrong. It is up to each parent to teach their own moral values and we ought to be free to teach Christian values.
This is not intolerant. The definition of tolerance is "allowing someone to hold a different belief." Christians must allow homosexuals to live their lifestyle, it is a basic Christian tenant. By the same grace of God that we were given free will, so were they and they may choose to live a gay lifestyle. We must tolerate that. However we do not accept it, which means we do not agree with it. We believe it is wrong, be we allow them the choice. On the other hand - if we are not allowed to hold our belief, that homosexuality is immoral, then they are intolerant.
Do you need good conservative news sources? Do you need the phone number of your State Senator? Are you struggling with abuse? Are you pregnant and don't know where to turn? I don't have all the answers (see the Bible), but check out these links to great sites...
