Greetings and Welcome!!
A Support Group for homeschoolers of Alameda County, ENOCH
is designed for the purpose of information, fellowship and
opportunity within the East Bay community. It is a group
that is open to all homeschoolers, regardless of belief, but
will be guided in all things by the Christian beliefs
outlined in our statement of faith.
ENOCH
MISSION STATEMENT:
As Christian families concerned for our children's
education, we seek to:
|
1. |
Lift up
one another in prayer. While we welcome all who
love their children, we are not ashamed of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ, for it is the power of Salvation. Our
attitude is intended to be one of love -- we all want to
be together in heaven, not just on Park Days! We
will not be proselytizing, but Jesus is Lord, and many
of our writings and recommendations will reflect a
biblical perspective. |
| 2. |
Network
with one another in an efficient manner, primarily on
the internet and through e-mail. |
| 3. |
Provide
a pool of like-minded families from which individuals
can form social and educational opportunities, such as
kids' clubs, classes and field trips. |
| 4 |
Provide
an atmosphere for full expression of options and
opinions on education without fear or shyness. Sometimes homeschoolers are made to feel that if they don't agree with
a particular philosophy, they are in the wrong. Individual
families should feel free to conduct their homeschools as
they are led by God and have an obligation to Him to do so.
The goal of our group is to offer advice, not to mandate it. |
| 5. |
Encourage priorities first to God, then to their spouse,
then to their children, and finally to the lesser things
such as job, education, and church. ENOCH should not be
on the list of priorities. |
